Deep life lessons...

... learned from 3 recent flat tires and an oil change this past week:

1- Change is a good thing in our lives... throw off the old, put on the new. Sometimes it's a pain and sometimes it's painful and sometimes it takes time and sometimes we must work to change the same thing over and over again, but it's all part of the continuing sanctification journey and makes for a smoother ride.

2- A seemingly very small thing can cause a lot of damage. (Ahem, a little something in your tire... or your heart).

3- Giving immediate attention to problems/issues in our lives is better for us in the long run than letting them linger and get worse before dealing with them.

4- Maintenance of our bodies and especially our souls (continually caring for, assessing, and putting good things into them) is essential to functioning well, usability, and not falling apart all the time.

5- Daddy knows best! (If my earthly father were here, he'd have helped me and given advice about these matters... but one of our Lao teachers, who is of similar age to my dad and has four kids of his own- helped me get the oil changed near our school)... but my heavenly Father ultimately guides and provides above all.

Today's deep thoughts and challenges inspired by:
