This is the way we say "to visit" someone in Lao. My most recent language teacher taught me how to use this vocabulary... and interestingly, she's my first Lao friend that I've been able to really "yiam yam" in the sense of visiting brothers and sisters here to encourage and uplift them. She is currently about 6-months pregnant, and has had some bleeding recently. The doctors have ordered bed rest for now. The baby is still active and has a strong heartbeat as of last weekend at the hospital. Would you ask for His protection over mother and baby? And for peace in her heart amidst the unknowns, and sweet times with the Father while she rests?
